Encouragement For The Church in Iran

Encouragement For The Church in Iran

Dears, I am not a "high-tech"-type person; and I do not really understand a lot of the details involved in internet technology, etc.  But just this morning, I was able to access some information relative to my (this) blogsite (re. "Theological Treatises in Retirement")--and I see where a lot of people from the nation of Iran are accessing my "treatises," or articles, or papers.  I want you to know that if this is true; and I think it is--then I am both humbled and honored to be of any service to you, especially if you are Christian churchman in the land of Persia.

In harmony with what I just wrote, I want you to know that I am not personally worthy of your kind attentions; but that I am more than willing to do all I can to "shepherd" you into the embraces of your King and Savior Jesus Christ.  If you are born again members of the church of Jesus--even if you are unable to see this manifest in a "visible" way, i.e. a local faithful congregation--please know that you are joined to your Redeemer as the mystical "body" of Christ, (as per 1 Cor. 12:27).  Indeed, you are the "Israel of God," (Gal. 6:16b), in your ancient nation of Persia (Iran).

Over here in the United States, we have been hearing for some years how the Holy Spirit is gathering God's church together in your country.  Assuming this is true, and we do indeed assume this, this makes us who love Jesus here very happy.  May your Heavenly Father bless you in all your trials, difficulties, afflictions, persecutions, tribulations, and distresses.  May He also fill you with "joy inexpressible and full of glory," (as per 1 Pet. 1:8b).

Know that your persecutors are indeed evil, but they are also totally lost.  They are only doing what comes naturally to them.  You may do (even to them) what does not "come naturally," i.e. you may love even your fiercest enemies (as per Matt. 5:44).  This is a miracle of grace; and it demonstrates your being "children of your Heavenly Father," (Matt. 5:45).

All your true brethren in all the world also suffer along with you.  None of us redeemed souls are exempt from the same trials and difficulties and persecutions, etc., that you are undergoing.  Know also that many of the saints--especially those who are aware of your plight--are diligently praying for you.  Persevere to the end in Jesus; your hardships will last for only a short time.

I do hope (and pray) that my missives bless and encourage you.  If and as you have pastoral shepherds of the church there in your communities, please greet them from and for the church's true ministers here.

In heaven it will be good to meet you.  Perhaps in God's good sovereign will, we may meet yet in this world.  Remember: Iran belongs to you--not to any of the unbelievers.  God has given it to you.  Be good stewards of His blessing.

May the Lord's best, in Jesus, always be with you!

"Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body," (Heb. 13:3/ESV).
